CONSERVATION OF THE ENVIRONMENT THROUGH ANIMAL PROTECTION: A COMPARISON BETWEEN ISLAMIC LAW, INTERNATIONAL TREATIES AND IRANIAN AND SUDANESE LAWS


Islamic law is characterized by its religious aspect that calls conscience to respect it and not violate it. Therefore, Accountable Individuals understand that in cases that crimes may not be proven legally, they could certainly be proven religiously. Moral aspect is also fully taken care of in Islamic law. Islamic law is a comprehensive system of religious and worldly life.  The animal rights which is part of the environmental universe is one of the most important environmental issues of concern and respect by Islamic law especially in its moral and ethical aspect. Environment which means everything surrounding Being and the concepts related to it such as the Ecological Balance are of interest of Islamic law as well as ecologists, international organizations and governments. And that Iran and Sudan are among Muslim countries which passed laws related to environment. They also founded special organizations for this matter. All these indicate the importance of the environment in these countries.
