GOLD AND SILVER IN THE PROPHETIC SUNNAH – FIQH RULINGS


The gold and silver provisions are specific to them among all minerals, including the sanctity of the moorabah in them, has been proven in that a number of Hadiths, from which the jurists derived jurisprudence provisions on the sale of gold and silver and buy them. Then the modern era came in new ways in dealing with gold and silver, which requires effort and jurisprudence to reach its legal provisions. The aim of this research is to review some of the prophetic traditions of dealing with gold and silver, selling and buying, and uncovering some important jurisprudential rulings derived from these hadiths, and highlighting the findings of contemporary scholars of the Shariah rulings on the new methods of dealing with gold and silver. The study followed the method of extrapolation and the descriptive and analytical approach, and concluded to the extent to which contemporary money can be attached to gold and silver in their rulings, and the ruling on selling gold and silver and buying them through modern means of communication, and the ruling on selling gold and silver and purchasing them with commercial papers.
