THE ROLE OF THE SUNNAH IN THE INDUSTRY OF CREATIVITY AND EXCELLENCE

Allah (swt) has sent His Prophet Muhammad (saw) to produce a distinguished Ummah, which He named a “moderate nation”. In another place, Allah (swt) describes it “the best nation”: “You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah. If only the People of the Scripture had believed, it would have been better for them. Among them are believers, but most of them are defiantly disobedient.” It is also the Ummah of the “straight path.” The path which balances between materiality and spirit, life and hereafter, mind and revelation, perfection and reality, individualism and collectivism, freedom and responsibility and creativity and pious. On such bases, a unique and universal civilization was founded. The Islamic civilization, which was dominant over other nations for decades, quoting from previous civilizations with modification and additions and innovating in the field of religion and life, combines between divine and humanity, science and religion and progression and morals.

As for nowadays, Muslims should be a continuity of the Prophetic method in calling for knowledge and learning, idealism and innovation and transparency and advancement. Alike the movement of Hadith, which was a mercy and a pleasantness to humanity. It came with respect to other religions and maintained individuals’ dignity, unlike contemporary civilizations, whichconstructed buildings but dishonored humans and excluded religion, even thoughit spoke loudly or accepted by many.
