Islamic government( Siasah Syar’iyyah ), a discipline in the Islamic Heritage, is a tool in the hands of the leadership to rule the nation and achieve religious and worldly benefits. It also enables them to observe the current changes and developments the nation encounters in order to apply the rulings of a text on these changes and developments properly without ignoring or canceling these rulings. Islamic government ( Siasah Syar’iyyah )keeps pace with the developments affecting people’s behavior and situations, taking care of the new changes in the lives of individuals and nations while adhering to the rulings of Sharia and its purposes. Based on that, the research problem is posed in the form of the following main question: what is the relation between the Islamic government ( Siasah Syar’iyyah ) and democratic transition? The current study is of high importance since it is an exploratory study in nature, seeking to monitor the phenomenon and identify its parameters related to the democratic transition function in light of Islamic politics and its tools. It also aims to reveal the concept of Islamic politics and its relation with the democratic transition according to the comprehension of Islamic government ( Siasah Syar’iyyah )in the Islamic thought, and underscore the major bases and sources of Islamic government( Siasah Syar’iyyah ) . The researcher follows the analytical and descriptive approach which studies the concept of Islamic government( Siasah Syar’iyyah ) and its relation to democratic transition. The study discloses the results which demonstrate that Islamic government( Siasah Syar’iyyah ) is based on a number of essential bases and sources.
