ABSTRACT The researcher dealt in this paper with the denotation of the term of Al batl (falsehood) from Imam Al Jorkhani’s point of view through studying some Hadiths that were judged by him that they were false in his book Al abateelwalmanakeer and Alsihahwalmashaheer . He judged mostly by the falsehood on Hadiths mentioned in his book. The statement of the problem in this study came to show the meanings of falsehood from Al Jorkhani’s point of view and from other scholars. The main objective of this study is to show the meaning of the falsehood from Al Jorkhani’s point of view and his agreement and disagreement with the other scholars in the meaning of falsehood in order to reach to the intended meaning from this term and what are these basis and rules that he follows on his judgment on Hadiths by saying this Hadith is authentic but the other is false. This is a theoretical study. The analytical and comparative approaches are used in this study. The most important results in this study are that imam AL Jorkhani used the term AL batl (Falsehood) on the Hadiths that are in the rank of doubtful and above reaching to the forged Hadith. He did not only intend the forged Hadiths but he also used this term when he judged on the doubtful Hadiths and these Hadiths may be judged by using another term and the intended meaning was also falsehood in general meaning therefore all the types of doubtful Hadiths are included in this meaning. |
