Seeking cure is evident and explicit in the Holy Quran and Sunnah, and the strongest opinions among the people of knowledge are that the entire Holy Quran is remedy and cure in itself; nevertheless, Allah Almighty has given preference and favor to some verses and Surahs such as al fatihah (the opening surah of Qurran), the two refuge- seeking surahs (the last two surahs of the Quran), suratul ‘ikhlaas (surah of purity and sincerity) and others which were reported in Sunnah. Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) himself used not only to seek cure in the Quran and via supplication, but also he urged Muslims to seek cure and incantation in them. Allah Almighty said, “We send down in the Quran what is healing”. Suratul Isra, verse 82. Allah Almighty has made it clear that the Quran is a cure of any and all kinds of diseases; psychic or organic. Hence, if we delve deeply into the Quran, we will discover that Allah Almighty has distinguished every single verse with a curing power. This, without a shadow of a doubt, should go side by side with medications and modern treatments |
