AL'IMAM ALBYHQY MAKANATUH ALEILMIAT WALKHASAYIS ALMANHAJIAT LIKITABIH ALSUNN ALKUBRAA

Allaah (SW) has prepared for Imam Abu Bakr Ahmad bin Al-Hussein Al-Bayhaqi, a rightous foundation upbringing, and bestowed upon him with a noble start and upbringing, which led him to a prominent position in his journey for seeking knowledge and work. This work seeks to examine the life of Imam Al-Bayhaqi and his scholarly approach, in an attempt to fairly appreciate his scholarly status and the factors that played important roles in the formation of his figure. We will also investigate the praise of various imams with regards to his biography, knowledge and scholarly status. These were not only embodied in his disciples, but also in his work, which was a pioneer in its field and a leader in its quantity and impact on the Umma. One of his most important works is Al-Sunan Al-Kubra, which has unique methodological characteristics; the contents were arranged by subjects in different chapters on Fiqh (jurisprudence). In this book, Al-Bayhaqi took care of the analytical and critical provisions, in addition to the jurisprudential tabulations and the judicial interpretations of text and reference. He also included the jurisprudential benefits that were inferred from Hadeeth and Athar, illustration of strange and unclear words, the combination of Hadeeth Mukhtalif (different narrations), and more.
