This quantitative study aims to shed light on the abilities and leadership competencies for the principals of post-primary schools in the governorate of Buraimi in the Sultanate of Oman. The extent to which they practice these abilities during their work by teachers’ perspectives. The problem is the lack of some principals; of the skills and abilities of the amazing technological developments, programs and applications currently employed in the field of education, which called for the need for these managers to address their training needs. The descriptive analytical method was used as an appropriate method for this study. Data were collected from a random sample of (287) teachers. A questionnaire of (60) statement was designed using (5) themes: the use of power, familiarity with the principles of communication, objectivity, understanding of others, flexibility. The findings revealed that: That the theme of communication came first, secondly the ability to use power to achieve the management objectives within the school, and came the theme of understanding others before the last. While the theme of flexibility came last. |
