This quantitative study discusses the process of identifying training needs, which is the core of the entire training effort, in terms of the aim of making changes in the knowledge, skills, attitudes, experiences and performance of the personnel working in the educational institution. The problem was that there were shortcomings in vocational guidance in terms of the lack of interest of managers in pursuing career guidance for students, and the lack of guidance services, which led to low information of students in the basic information that can help them in the planning of vocational and vocational in the light of their ambitions and abilities. As well as poor students' satisfaction with their scientific specialization, lack of familiarity with the skills of study, and lack of knowledge of what is happening in the labor market that awaits them. The objective of the study is to diagnose the reality of the performance of secondary school principals in vocational guidance. And to find out the training needs for post-primary school administrators in the Sultanate of Oman in the field of vocational guidance. The researcher adopted the descriptive analytical method. The questionnaire consisted of (73) paragraphs divided into (5) axes. The results showed that the training needs of the principals of the post-primary schools were concentrated in the following competencies: planning for the preparation of the professional program, organizing and supervising the preparation of the professional program, management and decision-making, guidance for professional guidance and guidance methods.
