THE BENEFITS OF GOVERNANCE AND THE IMPORTANCE OF APPLYING IT IN THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, SULTANATE OF OMAN


This study aims to identify the concept of governance, its origin, development and its basic principles. The Study addresses the benefits of Governance and the importance of applying it in the Ministry of Education, Sultanate of Oman. The Study also analyzes some theories related to governance in light of the literatures related to the objectives of this study. To achieve the objectives of the study, governance theories have been analyzed, and some rigorous books, literatures and online readings have been made to get a more established knowledge about governance.    The study resulted in some finding. First, the importance of implementing governance principles in educational institutions and the outcomes of that at different levels: staff, managers and institutions. The second outcome is the significance of spreading awareness about governance to all staff of the educational institutions.
